'F' word in the Town Hall

One of the lady manager (don't know her name) in the Townhall mentioned that the is bringing the "F" word back this year. Then giggles and says not the word you all are thinking. It's the "FUN" word. Meow..........

I'm sure those in HR and Finance will be having "fun". Both functions are just leeches on the Company, no value added from them.

The company will be crying a river at some point once it loses a lot of its talent and has trouble finding replacements since most people are wary to work in the oil industry anymore.

Upper management seemed to have no plan after the layoffs for the structure of the company. They just wanted people gone to cut costs and did nothing to prepare for the aftermath. Its been a disaster so far and people who are already exhausted from last year are getting fed up with it.

People feel pretty bitter after the layoffs and the high workload thrown on everyone. The transition period has been a nightmare as it seems there was no plan after the layoffs. They need to fix all this before they do more serious damage to their workforce.

There is so much burn out in the IT area, I wouldn't be shocked of there is a significantly high turn around in developers this year. Unless they shape up.

They have got to do something as morale is very low at least in the area I work in. They will start losing a lot of talent if they do not start improving the work environment after the layoffs.

They need to get back to the days before all of this happy fun c-ap. Hire the right people and pay them well. That is how you build and keep a productive organization. Oh and stop just hiring people to create new positions and functions. Having the wrong people and too many people just destroys the morale.
