Last year people only got 14 day's notice until off books. Then I think they also got severance, based on how long they worked - with the cap being six months. Anyone that has gone through this, was the timing of paychecks good enough to keep you afloat until you got your lump sum retirement benefit or until you were able to start withdrawing from your 401K?
I've read that it can take 6 to 8 weeks (or more) to get your lump Doeve read it can take 60 days (or more) to get Social Security to kick in. Do you get severance early enough to bridge you until you get a lump sum distribution, get withdrawals from your 401k going and get social security going? Or do you have to bridge a period of time where you have no income at all?
