Is it just me or does it feel disingenuous to hold departmental ra-ra-sis-boom-ba meetings headed by the many cheerleaders I mean the many managers in IBM, while there are a bunch of layoffs happening throughout IBM?

The meetings are designed to let employees drink the Kool-Aid. :-(
Those meetings are unbearable even where there are no layoffs. If someone is optimistic about the future at IBM they must be misinformed.
My husband is 60 and they just laid him off after 20+ years
IBM, IBM how will they fare...IBM, IBM who really cares!!!! No integrity, s$%t management team (how many mistakes can they make!!!), bullying, no respect for the individual, BUEs have no interest in what their employees do or how they do it...your call that mentoring!!!
Yeah, we had one of those last Thursday - us older folks new what that signaled.
What team is doing that? What’s there to cheer?
