BRCC, IBM announce free job skills program

These skills can be useful for the growing number of “new collar” jobs, or roles that don’t require
four-year degrees, such as web developers, cybersecurity experts, customer service specialists,
systems administrators, project managers or data analysts.

SkillsBuild offers accredited badges to certify learning, so potential employers can trust the
candidate’s education quality.

Free badges for "new collars"!

Looks cheaper on paper, but the quality of your workforce will suffer. You can't sufficiently skill up just anyone, and a good engineer will still produce 10x as much easily. It's why companies have to pay for the talent.

Notice none of the real tech industry leaders are doing things like this. Not even the other tech dinosaurs.

@des You nailed it They might get a few diamonds in the rough but when they RA the rest it will drop the average age enough to make it all worth it. The Courts are involved now And in the end they can claim Social Responsibility So sad for all involved

Oh great... they continue to undermine the value of this career field and the degrees many of us had to get back when degrees were required...

Can I get a rebate on the college costs and years of my life I wasted getting that degree?
