Thread regarding Cenovus Energy layoffs

Return to true self

I identified with someone who said they got another chance to be themselves again after the layoff. I also have a feeling that Cenovus has totally changed my personality after working there for more than seven years. Anyone else?
I guess that was an inevitability, considering what kind of people I was surrounded with (there are exceptions of course, I also made some wonderful friendships there). Now I am finally back to my true self.

Ha. The funny thing is right after Alex said that HR posted a correction that said there were no voluntary packages being offered. His own HR dept had to walk that claim back pretty quick.

Even though there is current no EOI or election of intent to collect a package, Alex has always said if you don’t want to be here, or don’t see the vision and cant get on board, just send him a quick email and he’ll have no problem forwarding your name to HR to begin the process of ending your employment at Cenovus. Based on a lot of these posts, Alex’s inbox will be flooded in the next few days and weeks. Don’t delay!

Yup, I think you're onto something, because I've felt the same way!

I've returned back to my true form of sitting on my a$$ all day with a beer in one hand and my d^(& in the other. Lord almighty, my hands were more busy in February than they ever were in 8 years working for the big dog... woof woof!

Glad to hear your life turned in a positive direction.. The same thing happened at Husky it drained many people.. It does change your personality for the worst unfortunately.. A layoff would be a great fresh start..
