Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

We are a week and a half away from more seperations.

I was told in November that my job was being eliminated and that if I stayed until mid March, I would get a severance. But if I talked about with anyone or left early, I would not. My last day is next Friday so I would guess that there are many others who are in the same situation.

The funniest part of HR's warning of "terminating your career" is that separation from Fiserv and its' dysfunctional culture can only grow someone's career if they are worth their salt.

I'm doing a heckuva lot better now AFTER Fiserv. Most of us are as well.

What a load of rubbish.

"HR posting threats now instead of being helpful?"

HR exist to protect the share price, not you.

"Performance drives headcount not mindless layoffs" Performance doesn't drive any other decision at Fiserv so why would it drive headcount? merit increase, bonus, level, promotions, performance review, the list goes on but none of them are based on performance at least of the individual ;-0

HR posting threats now instead of being helpful? I can only hope it is just a troll posing as HR - but if in fact truly HR, embarrassing for the company given this board is visible to all. Maybe if you stopped burning TONS of money on nonsense such as workday "goal setting" programs, agile and open floor plan remodels, we could stop the unjustified layoff bleed-outs and gain back client confidence by reducing the outage rate.

I work in HR - if anyone can FIND who posts on this board, I hope First Data finds YOU and terminates your career.

Guy? Is that you posing as HR? Tsk tsk. You'd better get back to fixing those outages before the clients leave!

If you really are HR, then please take this one back to the meeting: stop blowing huge money-chunks on paper pusher positions such as agile coaches and scrum masters. It is a little bit troubling that I have to state the obvious, but let's try to hire people that actually perform tangible/valuable work.

I work in HR, MORE FAKE NEWS! Not how it works in a world class company. Maybe this was the practice at OFSV under JY but not now sorry! Performance drives headcount not mindless layoffs, sorry again not the lies you are telling but the truth does hurt!

Every spring is layoff season. People lay low and do as little as possible in January and February to avoid making mistakes. If they survive March they take a vacation and decompress. You end up with potentially 3/4 of a year to be productive. Don’t blame the teams, blame the leaders for this cycle. Oh and maybe don’t over hire every single year

Layoffs are set to begin at the end of next week per HR. All notifications have to be recorded before March 19 and the departures must be complete by end of month. Managers will be receiving their list on the 8th or 9th of next week. That is what was communicated to us by our SVP. Also no pay increases this year even for senior leaders as the money is being allocated to the back to business campaign handouts.

Glad you have freedom. Please note that on this venue, talking can be seen but the First Data arrogant bast...rds can say anything they want to insult the fine people at Fiserv and not have any issues at all. You stayed long enough, enjoy the days ahead. I know I have done so
