Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Perfection is most often sought by those who cannot give it

Accuracy is certainly important at what I do here, but I’ve been pushed to the limits of exhaustion lately because my superior is looking for perfection that I can’t fulfill.
I don’t think I’m the best employee ever, but I don’t think there are many people who could meet his demands. What’s worse, he’s the one who can’t give a shred of perfection.
Have you also had situations in which you are faced with unrealistic demands for perfection?

I don’t think what you’re describing is “perfection” because it doesn’t exist. What you’re describing is a nit-picky micromanager.

What is perfection anyway and how do you measure it? I would rather see a steady progress and improvement.
