Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

They use and abuse the situation?

Does it seem to you that they are using and abusing the situation because many people are afraid knowing that it is not as easy to find a new job as it was before the pandemic? I agree that the uncertainty is greater, and the situation on the market is more difficult than ever, but the situation is not so terrible that Verizon can do to people whatever it wants.
Someone said it well, they don’t pay enough for someone to suffer all this.

I gotta say, i can’t imagine being as worked up as the person up in arms calling people clowns and stating untrue facts about leave and demanding titles. I’m sensing someone from HR sick of dealing with all the mental health FMLA claims being processed wrote that lmfao. But honestly, I’m a ale to confirm that my job is incredibly stressful and takes a huge toll on my emotional health and family life but i have no personally ever filed an fmla claim over it. So i agree with whoever posted that earlier and don’t think it makes you a clown

FMLA 30 days? Nope. Actually 12 days annually are actually paid FMLA. Anything past that is unpaid leave.

This last person calling people clowns sounds more stressed than anyone on the board.
Walking spittoon no doubt.

So to the clown who's claiming they give you so much stress and anxiety you have to take time off do you think it would be this way and other big companies as well? I'm curious what is your title and how much vacation time do you have? If you're a union do you abuse the FMLA policy and take 30 days a year on top of your week's vacation? Or do you simply feel entitled to it. But again I'm dying to know what undue stress they put on you and why then do you stay leave

And it’s a good thing they offer those good benefits because after doing this job and fighting every month to stay afloat you definitely need that medical insurance for all the stress and anxiety this company brings on you it’s like, do you justify good health insurance with the fact you have to use it constantly because Verizon declines your health

Actually, whoever commented that they pay above industry average that’s no longer true. They used to, absolutely, and it’s why we all pushed through all the nonsense but now retail and business channels are not absolve industry average and no longer really justified for the amount of abuse you take in those roles from customers and management and quotas that beat the holy c-ap out of you

Benefits and pay are good at Verizon yea. Culture, work/life balance, and having a future are non-existent.

You just have to decide what’s important to you.

Nah, business as usual. Good economy - layoffs. Bad economy - layoffs. Pandemic - layoffs. No pandemic - layoffs. It is business as usual for Verlieson the human meat grinder.
