First Mustang Mach E Recall

Another headline for our Ford sc-apbook:

Ford Motor Co. on Friday issued a recall for fewer than 75 Mustang Mach-E crossovers with defective subframe bolts, adding another hiccup for the launch of one of its newest, high-profile vehicles.

The automaker said Friday that it was not aware of any accidents or injuries, but was calling back the electric crossovers because a supplier didn't properly tighten some bolts. Ford said roughly 94 percent of the 1,258 total affected vehicles in the U.S. and all 90 in Canada will be fixed before they reach customers. The automaker declined to give a specific number being recalled.

What are we doing? Can’t make any vehicles correct today, EV, SUV, Truck. Serious problem and we will continue to drive customers away.

  1. 000 Twitter followers and 1300 vehicles sold falls a tad short of leading the EV market segment. Can’t imagine this impacting market share. Sounds like Ford PR at its best. Where is the interview of one of the new Mach E owners who talk about delivery delays and having to bring their new Ford back to dealer because it’s not built right. How did the Kuga do in Europe? Same battery. Iwould park my Mach E outside with a long charging cord.

Tearing it up with 1300 vehicles sold. Rounding error for Tesla. And all 1300 need to come back to Ford for repairs (on a brand new vehicle). C’mon, not a threat at all.

I read two articles this morning, Mach E is beginning to eat into Tesla's sales. Google it!
Even Elon has positive things to say about FMC. I didn't like the concept at the time but I think the Mach E will be a very successful model for the company regardless of theses issues. It appears that the consumers continue to prove some of those on this website wrong again.
