Yall got to leave, literally doubled my salary from leaving that place after wasting 12 or so years. Once you reach a certain age in conjunction with being stuck in the same position or org you become unattractive to other firms. In those 12 years all I saw was perpetual layoffs and low raises that doesn't match inflation year after year. Everybody that I knew who was young and got laid off all did better, bny did them a favor to do something they didn't have the guts to do which was force them to move on.

It is a toxic place where people are not respected and skills are not valued. There is no internal mobility so horrible if you're stuck in a role you don't like or get a manager who is getting unimaginable gratification by setting you up for failure. I got laid off in January and I'm happier.
BNYM did me a favor by laying me off in Jan. ...of course I was absolutely miserable there, so that helped. But life is SO much better without that place. SOOO much better!
