Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Frivolous spend but benefits still not whole...

Fiserv is NOT a walk in business to end users. Our customers are NOT individuals. Can anyone help me understand why Fiserv continues to spend money frivolously on race cars and "financial commitments to 20 other sports and entertainment venues"? Per FUEL, more NASCAR spend and "Fiserv recently expanded it's partnership with NASCAR and Chip Ganassi Racing." At this point, Fiserv is choosing to withhold benefits other companies never lost. It's not that we can't afford it, Fiserv is simply choosing to short change its "most valued asset, our associates.". I'm embarrassed for our leadership and I most certainly not feel valued but hey I hope you guys have a great time at the races and other entertainment venues.

Frank is scratching the back of his friends. It’s that simple. Most ridiculous “brand recognition” campaign ever.

Clinton and GW charge 100K+. Not sure what sleepy Joe charged but whatever it was I'm sure it was more than my Fiserv salary at the time.

I always enjoyed those company emails, glowingly describing those cushy Vegas conventions with celebrity speakers that we probably paid 10s of thousands of dollars for.

Meanwhile, my 1.1% raise every year, and not even a discussion of a bonus.

And all those gallant folks in Lake Mary, bragging about how many hours they put in during the week. For what?

Oh, you noticed that too? The funny part was they chose that order. They could have put something in between to pretend to not rub our noses in it.

Insulting how we got to listen to how raises were “uncertain”, followed by how great sales were last year. If you’re trying to convince everyone raises would be a bad idea this year, that isn’t how you do it.

If you want a raise buy FISV and cash in big time

The word on the street is raises will be very limited and doubtful that anyone will get one this year because budget for it is very tight. If we want a raise we have to find a new job this year.

NASCAR has large viewership in the small business segment, which purchase POS and merchant acquiring services which is why the car is branded Clover. Not saying it is good or bad, don’t have enough data but that is the logic. Influence small business owners buying behavior to choose clover.

By the OP logic, there would be no reason for SAP to sponsor golfers, but they do. Like Fiserv (or even more so), SAP sells nothing to consumers. But apparently a lot of execs watch golf or go to tournaments. So they calculate it is worth the marketing dollars.

Rest assured that every one of those sponsorship contracts includes some perks for someone. Access to the driver, laps around the track or something. Who do you think gets to use those?

Cause the execs like to act like one of the boys. Frank probably walks down pit row going vroom, vroom

Agreed. The fact that they keep targeting the 401K plan as a source of cost-savings is very troubling to say the least. They recently moved away from SEC-regulated mutual funds to unregulated "collective trusts". I guarantee the next step is to move away from Vanguard's funds altogether, over to Shady Joe's collective trust funds, to help pay for the NASCAR hood logos.
