I'm a non-bargained/manager (not supervisor) in district 6 and last time I went on strike training was in January 2017 for the March 2017 contract expiration. I understand that was a four-year agreement which puts the next expiration....now. But I've had no strike training and nobody I've heard of has gone through it for the last few years. I'm sure I've missed something but..does it still exist, and what contracts are up next?

No need for strike training as the union reps have no bargaining strategy for representing common laborers. The can't say their employees are highly skilled or irreplaceable. They'll take what management gives them and be grateful they saved some jobs for a while longer
Managers will be required to clean brown and green sludge out of all manholes in preparation for new fiber installation. Thank y’all
There is no need to be concerned about any part of this company going on strike. CWA will bend over backwards to do nothing.
They make people go out of there area to avoid crossing lines of friend, family or folks they know.

The "contingency" training seem to be unevenly assigned. A few years ago, i went through many hours/days of training and was just a few days away from having to travel to an assignment, but it was canceled when the union contract was settled.
In contrast, one of my coworkers has never been assigned training. Everyone else in my group of about 20 has been assigned training at least once, but they forgot this one person, and he does not know why.
OP here. Well, I appreciate the original reply despite its tone. The poster obviously misses that "management" means things like engineers, programmers, finance, and HR people. We are not plugged in to and really (other than general human concern) don't care one whit about CWA members or their contracts, other than what we're told when we have to cover for you.
@sab Managers can and have been trained to do jobs that can be outside of the district they reside. You should know this.
District 6 ‘s contract was extended to 2025. As a manager, you should already know this.
