Workforce reduction for our team area scheduled tomorrow and Wednesday. Notifications will run from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (mountain time). If you have meetings or appointments booked, please reschedule them.

All notifications will take place virtually, so you'll need to be at your computer and logged into Microsoft Teams or reachable on your mobile and/or home phone (depending on which # we have on file for you).

As a reminder, only resources who are being released are will be contracted during the notification period (this includes staff who will receive advance notice of their upcoming termination). As soon as the reductions are done for your team, I will send a not the remaining team members, so you are aware... Myself or your direct leader may also send out a meeting invite, so we can get together as a team to discuss the changes. Once reductions are don for our entire team XXXX will send an email to confirm.

This is our 2nd round of reductions in 6 weeks and I appreciate how stressful this is for everyone personally and how challenging it is for team morale. It's going to be a hard few days, as some valued team members depart the company and remaining staff say goodbye to friends and colleagues. I want to thank you all for your continued commitment and professionalism. Please make sure you look after yourselves and each other and stay focused and safe. If at any point you need help managing stress and anxiety, please talk to your supervisor for support and use the various health and wellness resources (url link) available to you.

Isn’t it funny that Cenovus is posting all over LinkedIn about what a great company they are and how progressive and what not while at the same time putting thousands of people out of work during a pandemic.

That’s not made up we got one as well in our team. This company mentally abused its employees. Even if you and this round they have already said w me could be laid off at anytime throughout the year. Go team. I hate this place.
