Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

My .02

I hate AT&T.
Simple.
When someone asks me, I badmouth, send all to competitors.
Got to go on my hour break now and drink a little everclear.

Oh, you are that guy. The chronic complainer that hates the company and brings everyone around you down.

Warner Brothers voted ‘Best Place to Work’ 2018...Now, under Att ownership, most miserable, depressing, tarnished company in Hollywood!

Just finished another bottle. Got's to drive to Grand Prairie and get another 5th.
Hick Cup, Hick Cup......How dry I am, How dry I am, Nobody knows, How dry I am.
Cooling to cool jazz on my iPod. Banked enough pre-work to cover today and Friday.
Got to go. I'm out of Everclear.

I don’t know anyone that doesn’t hate this company, whether they are customers or employees.

" I will be here after you are long gone"

Those are the words of someone for whom surplus is imminent.

What cracks me up is that there are still some people working at T that are so delusional they actually believe that upper management genuinely values the work they do!

@qmj is a perfect example of one of these knuckleheads. Upper management doesn't care about you, what you do, or how well you get on your knees to fellate them ever morning. They will cut your throat without hesitation if it comes to that. The fact is that employee survival at T has nothing to do with productivity, efficiency, or performance. It's all a numbers game, and it's simply a matter of odds regarding which organizations will get slammed and which jobs eliminated in the next layoff (and there will be a next layoff).

But hey, @gmj, whatever gets you through the night ...

I loved AT&T.
I could do 3 hrs of work in a day and get paid for 12.
They decided how much time we had for a job, not me. Code it to cable and you are golden.
Do 8 jobs on a nice day.
1 on a rainy or cold day.
Always a top 10% tech.
Move the truck every 20 minutes.
They know where my truck is, but they have no idea what I'm doing.
They made the rules.
I made the $$$ using them.
They just don't get it.
Which is why they are failing.

"Maybe instead of wasting time and other people’s money, you could humbly approach your supervisor, and ask him what you could do to make T a better, more successful company. That’s what I do every Monday morning, and my leadership team loves me. "

Lol, no they don't - they roll their eyes and laugh at you when you turn around to leave.

No. You are a deep Brown, smelly, sticky Brown Noser. Got your Nose up your boss's butt so deep you don't smell the stinch. And I tell you what, your co-workers are laughing at you, your 1st level is talking about you and the 2nd level and above don't care as they are on the golf course.
I worked with a guy that once came to work on a Saturday to wash our Boss's truck. The smile on the Boss's face wasn't a "happy smile". It was a "I can't believe you come to work to wash my car—S—ER"- Smile!
And I've been here 20+ years, expect 20+ more of showing up, drinking, day, long breaks and paycheck cashing.

Just came back from break. What's funny is the company loads out our work and I'm able to do a weeks work in 1 or 2 days. When I was younger I would complete 2 or 3 weeks of loaded work in a week until 1 day my boss followed me to my first job and assignment called me so I pulled over on a dead end street to take the info. That DA boss (who was related to a VP) knocked on my window and gave me h311 about not having cones out. 2 minutes, cold outside, I'm working and she's concerned about my phreaking cones. Got written up. On that day, I started drinking on the job, bank work and listen to the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and Ozzy on my ipod. Hey, now when assignment calls at 7:30am, I don't answer. Call them back when I'm at my job site, cones out, backed in, Hesco running, suited up - I look the part and I play the game. 1or 2 days a week and 3 to 4 days of drinking, driving around, listening to music, Hesco running. Now that white female DA boss is happy as she got what she wanted. Oh,and she couldn't do a job if you held a S&W to her head. She is getting what she asked for. No more. And now, I'm here for the paycheck especially since there are no longer bankable benefits. Buy all my services from the competition and smile a lot. I'm a lot happier AND I check the internet all day. I'd like to think I make AT&T better!
You are welcome!

which bread are you using to filter your ever clear? Or are you bold and just slam it straight?
When the .02 runs out, you can switch to Mad Dog 40/40. it comes in grape.
