Another change, another disaster

Once again the changes they made screwed everything over!! Club pickup has no coverage what so ever during the evening. There’s no coverage at all from 12:30 till 3pm. They cut all the part timers hours, no coverage in carts, it’s a complete chaos. I mean you get to a point where you just don’t care anymore. They are exploiting the hell out of everyone. I mean how much longer can this go until they realize they need to bring department staffing back. Do they not understand that this generation can’t do this?? That’s why we have people quitting left and right. They are only hiring kids that are in school who can’t work during the week and if they do work during the week it’s only 4 hours. I don’t know man, but things do not look so great for associates future.

well our morning crew does all the work at our store. i cant speak for other stores but we fill almost every single order the night crew if someone calls in and we are left with one picker and one dispense and we had 80 orders then they may get stuck with 15 orders and they have 3 people but for the most part the day crew does the majority of the work at our store. Our night crew i am not sure exacatly what they do with with their time except maybe dispense what orders are left after we leave at 12:30 and that is if we do because most of the time they are complaining because they were left with any orders at all. This c-ap orders not dropping in for the next day until 1 am is just c-ap if that continues we need more people on day shift. Our morning crew are walking into so may orders and i might add we are all girls and a couple are older girls and its just like 3 of us daily. One gets sick calls in then we have two that has to pull and dispense orders all day yet we do it and get them done. Then we have a guy come in mid shift like 10 or 11 and if there is 16 orders on the screen he is frantic its like so bad its crazy..I cant imagine if he walked into he orders we walked into in the mornings with just two people at times lord he would probably have a heart attack. i truly dont think he comprehends that by the time he gets there at middle of the day we have already been there six or 7 hours because he acts as if we have done nothing all day long. its crazy but hes young and entitled and well lazy. But everyone that thinks this is hard now best be getting out now because it is gonna get alot harder and way busier. So better s— it up and get ready cause we are just getting started.

Sam's H/O has missed the point. Instead of cutting hours and associates they should have better member service than Costco and Amazon. When they have cut hours so that at 6:30 pm you only have your MSL running a register and a manager running the front including self checkout with lines backed up into Seasonal, members getting mad, then we ask them about upgrading to Plus or a Sam's credit card. You can imagine what response we get. If you want to increase the membership base stop letting other people use the same membership card. Let the member picture come up on the register then if it is not the member, sell that person a membership.

We use to be staffed all the time. When I started ten years ago. When they raise wages, they cut staff, so "What would you be if you were joined to another object, by an incline plane, wrapped helically around and axis?” A Sam's Club employee.

When is every dept not short staffed. We are never staffed. We are most often so understaffed we can barely operate in pretty much every single dept. The turn over rate is beyond anything I could ever even imagine at a business. We are never not hiring. Ever. From club management to the top, I've never seen a company like this before. Never been treated like this before. I am an expert muti-tasker. I actually thrive on it. I have never hit my limits. Here, I am constantly at or exceeding my limits. Then after the world has burned down around me.. I hear.. oh.. you should have told me you needed help.... Ummm do you not listen to the radio??? Did you not hear the endless bombs going off being called out by myself and everyone while you sat in the office, kicked back and chatting?? Clearly not. I forgot, it's my fault, I forgot to be 10 people today. Are you going to fire me this time or is that tomorrow???

i know that the younger kids today get a bad rep for being lazy. but no generation would be able to keep a store or club up to standard under the direction of these dimwits in corporate headquarters.
They only care about what they clubs look like when they walk in them. They know that they're going to be c-ap everyday. Why do you think they always let people know when they're coming? They know clubs are going to get more people in to get them in shape. Then they can report back to their boss how good the clubs looked. They go back to their fantasy world that everything is great while the hourly associates struggle & members get frustrated.
