Employee discounts

Question for Any short term ( 5-6 years ) employees who were let go or quit . what happens to your wireless/internet discounts ? do you get any ? or you need to be a long term ( 20-30 years ) employee for that ?

As a District SBC manager I moved to another state. Move back 10 years later and the B@st@rd5 want to charge me $25 for LL and $70 for cell. BIG EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT!
I've got google voice for $00.00, OOMA for $5.00 per mo, and Mint mobile for $15 per mo.
Big Discount!!!!

  • the discount while working is a POS, and the discount retired is worse.

Look around. There is no good employee or retiree discount here.

Your employee discount ends the first day you are off payroll.

Yes, they will prorate the month and charge you retail rack rate for the latter part. Your years of loyal service mean absolutely nothing.

you get nothing...within 30 to 60 days the discount goes away and they sock it to you 🙄

If you don't have 30 years or meet Rule of 75, you don't keep any discounts at all. I retired with 31 years, my DTV went from $10 to $125(I dropped it) The only "discount" they let me keep was for wireless service—it's not much. I switched to T Mobile

I don’t know where you’re getting info that the longest you’re with the company you get to keep discount . Once you leave the company, you’re next bill will quadruple- I don’t care if you been there 60yrs.

You don't get it, and it sux anyway. I can get a cheaper and better plan wireless plan many places even with the active employee discount here.

Military or first responders , teacher discount with auto pay ......less than employee discount. Dump DTV immediately like everyone that is smart , find streaming service that works for you and bam

I can tell you after 39 yrs my DTV went from $10 to $129.
My slow 8MB copper Uverse went from $19 to $39
The wireless discount has always stunk.
I switched all.
T mobile for the cells and Spectrum for the internet and TV.
Saved a bunch.

If you do not meet MR75, there is no discount for T services. You pay full retail.

If you retire after meeting MR75, you get the smaller retiree discount.

Either way, just switch to TMOB and you will pay far less than the T discounted plan you might have qualified.
