Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

How much have you invested in this company?

Some say that they have invested a lot in this company and now they are unhappy because they they got nothing back in return. They are not valued as much as they think they deserved and they are bitter about it.
Legit, but to me that sounds a little exaggerated. I can’t really say that I invested something special, I’ve always been an average employee without any big ambitions. I never let this company squeeze me dry for nothing.

The physical damage I totally agree with. Our GM took the mats we stood on at the register and never replaced them. Standing on concrete is hard on the body. The least he could do is let us have a mat to stand on.

@bno I reckon no one at your club cares much for you being the @$$hole that you are. Are you a CM or a DM to disparage your associates like that?

You were paid for every second you were on the clock. The company owes you ZERO. And if you think performing a menial job is an investment, you’re dumber than a box of rocks.

34 years. The company doesn't care of us long term partners anymore.

Time... that is the big investment. We 20 plus year people have invested not only clocked hours but have had many hours subtracted from our personal lives. Vacations we were denied , family events missed and sicknesses worked through all count toward our total investment. Some of us have sustained major physical damage to our bodies while in service here but have continued on because of our sense of responsibility to continue working in the face of difficulty. yet mostly we have been marginalized , counted as basically worthless as we watch the newer generation be praised and held aloft even though they know little and will likely be gone soon. We see people get 4 dollar raises while our wages remain frozen. Yes we have invested a lot and bear a great burden.
