Accepting VSP disqualifies you from filling short term disability. Wouldn’t it be better to file STD than accepting the severance? Especially because it’s untaxed and more than severance?

Take the severance, and the std. just start the disability before you leave. You haven’t paid attention
Most union associates have an STD.
Yes. File STD. Absolutely.
No, you can go on Disability right after you are Laid off then collect disability until your doctor says you can’t anymore (I'm guessing due to stress) then you can go on unemployment.
Also severance agreement prevents future lawsuit against Verizon, for hostile work environment, unpaid work, etc
