When are we going back into the office? Have the different orgs announced Office/remote plans?

Heard they are adding camera's to the reps at home in Birmingham, AL, cannot keep up with the employees.

But then what will the architects do? I thought the architecture group was going to be converted into devs anyway
I used to work from home for years, then the virus hit and I was forced to report to the ATT campus everyday because the supervisors are trying to reinvent the wheel! It’s a shame they’re so clueless...!

Wink, wink. And a little more sleeping in time, laundry, mowing the lawn, a nice extra long dump, maybe a little Netflix, etc.
I believe the company has realized that production was not negatively affected and they have now figured out how to save money. In Atlanta, where the commute can be 1.5 hours each way, production has gone up. All that time spent driving is now put towards work. They actually get more out of us. In addition to that, the company saves money on building rentals, power, insurance, supplies and more. The city of Atlanta offers incentives ( tax breaks) to companies that offer work from hone jobs. So, it seems the company built on “telecommunications” has finally figured it out!
Depends on your org. Some groups have been changed to virtual workers full time, some have to go in, some are in limbo.
I was assigned office space in a central office. There were so many roaches in the basement and the bathrooms they would sweep the dead ones up. Contracted cleaning person came in once every 2 weeks for three hours to clean 3 floors. Nasty. So glad I am finally retired as I still have nightmares.

The office I worked in was legitimately not cleaned, aside from what we did ourselves.
There has been no official communication as to "when", but we were basically told we will be coded "flex" office workers. Which means we will have an assigned office location with the expectation we will report there 2-3 times a week. I am getting the impression that all of the stuff we talked about pre pandemic, with badge swipe and VPN monitoring, etc. to insure compliance is not really going to be a thing going forward. But who knows? None of it ever made any sense anyway. The idea that they were forcing folks into an office to collaborate even when none of their team members even worked in the same state was pretty ridiculous, and I believe was just coming from Donovan at the time, who had a real hair across his butt for working from home.

Most people have been given their office status; full time office, part time office (flex), or full time virtual. The only question is when the offices open back up. I agree with the previous poster about the unsanitary conditions in the buildings. I've seen it so bad when if you stamped your foot on the floor dirt would come up and land on the tops of your shoes.
hopefully never. People barely washed their hands after using the bathroom before COVID. You really want to go back to the office and be around those folks? I don't.
How much cleaning did ATT do in your office? My office has 20 year old carpets that barely were vacuumed. Um no thanks!
