Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Shareholder Meeting

Beyond painful! From MW’s annoying lip smacking to the HR lady presenting her bit about subjects that she obviously has no clue about (shaky, pensive voice does NOT exude confidence or knowledge), this is a staged production of nonsense! Get to the point and use your own words...we do not need to be pandered to, mollycoddled or “impressed” with the big words that the PR consultants recommend!

CVX will never be beyond oil. It’s a dinosaur company. Young people should flee.

MW says Chevron may be beyond oil in 20 years. Has he lost his mind?

I am NEVER going to another shareholder event. I may even sell my shares because of that HR lady with the pensive voice! Stop the mollycoddling!

It was a terrible shareholder event, among the worst ever. Shocking.

Hey, executives in the C-Suite, if you intend to continue over-staging these lame productions, why not hire professional actors instead or just employ Pixar Studios to come up with cartoon characters to play your parts. I’m sure things will go over so much better. You guys can dispense with your in-person insincere and manufactured dialogues and stay behind the walls of your ivory tower. We don’t care to see or hear from you anymore.

Good content but was obviously staged town hall. HR VP was fine but am not sure why she had to explain the CTV stuff.

Shareholder meeting is in May. Not sure what meeting you were at buddy, but you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

if chevron thinks they are going to survive as a virtual signaling venture capital company... then they are screwed unless WWIII drives oil back up to make them profitable again.

When u hold the narrative..you control it..and when you make >$5 mill / year.. nothing really matters.. so fill it with behaviors because your lower rungs (me) have no where else to go but a mortgage to pay...

They are so proud of not changing strategy and still say the demand will go up, come on guys, the internal combustion engine will be obsolete in 20 years or even sooner, you live in a different world! It is time for real change now!

Interesting, not. And it wasn't a shareholder meeting either.

Why didn’t you get off the bus last year so somebody else could stay on it?
