Managers knew of this in November so if you got bad rating and no boni you should be scerred+!
Oh yeah so he was out doing ho ho shopping in decmber and came across a jpm riff in feb or march?
Managers might know 2-3 month in advance (sometimes less, sometimes more). If its reduction in force, they are the once who have to make the decision, who goes. Sometimes layoffs are delayed, so the time frame might get elongated.
I've heard from a manager that they knew about a layoff happening in Feb/March that he found out in Dec while he was on vacation in December.
Some groups in compliance got notice too today
today is communication day for many in CIB tech.
the ED in my team is a d–k too. He doesn’t know who does what exactly and constantly asking me something that is not my job, and he is rude af. this DWad really thinks everyone below his levels are grunts
Currently looking for another job, let’s see who does the let go first lol. Since I know the VP I am under doesn’t like me very much as I am the more working less talking (kissing rear) type
Usually there are layoffs scheduled to complete/offboard by end of Q1....this week should be notification period for Q1 layoffs. I have always noticed a large round of layoffs with departures the last week of March. Unless, they are waiting for the June 2021 opening of the additional plano workspacesss...any leads on layoffs outside of home lending?
Managers are included in the mechanics if they are not part of it. Generally speaking this is VP level knowledge and up - so 603 and up. The lead time must be at least 45 days to comply with state and federal reduction in force laws [although there are ways of skirting that].
Fire 600's to hire 500's
It really depends on how many people will be impacted by the layoff. It takes a good amount of lead time as the business needs to identify who will be impacted and plan for proper business function afterward. Your manager usually knows 2-3 months (at minimum) before the actual communication.
@below
Maybe you will find out if you are “lucky” enough lol
How much is severance package?
According to my work friend who got laid off here last year, the severance package has a letter in it which dated almost a month prior her actual layoff date. So I am guessing your manager should know something around a month prior to the date you’re told to be terminated, since they need time to prepare your exit packet
We are in involved in the planning and usually submit the name. So if you are a low performing employee and we dont like you than hasta la vista.
Because I highly doubt they find out the same day as we do.
