Millenials with degrees still face a huge mental shift to become productive in an actual workforce. Millenials with no college will need even more. When did a college degree become a disqualifier?
I know we had at least two people hired at my location through the new collar program. That being said, I'm pretty sure their salaries are probably nowhere near 6 figures.

Did not read article, but have worked alongside too many individuals who were incapable of actually executing their job and were typically hired in through some odd hiring programs.
Worst are those orgs that care about precious head count and would rather carry these individuals and smooth over their assessments rather than walk them down the aisle to a pip where they can truly sink/swim.

Where's the equity in that... for the dues paid and the degree paid for?

What crock... you can be a mid-career degreed, SME and have to be a contractor and not making six-figures... but then some pet group gets an easy access and is hired direct?
