Sold? Lol.. Shell just permanently shut down a "modern" refinery because they couldn't find any buyers. What makes you think that our assets can even find a buyer? Some of our plants have been up for sale for nearly a decade now.
Many of these people assets will be sold off with the fields/ refineries that are sold. Unfortunately, buyers will not want all of them, so some will be laid off
I absolutely hate that slogan/motto. So egotistical and cultish.
We'll continue to hear this in the future, but slightly altered.
New say: "Our employees are our most valuable resources."
More than a nuance.
'Assets' have exchange/capital value.
'Resources' can be written down, flared off, evaporated.

Of course being stock holder is better, as they are not assets. Stockholders give you their assets in exchange of the spirits of the scared employees. That is why employees are the most valuable assets. They can be squeezed till their spirits can permeate into the stock. That way both the board and the stock holder can rejoice their winnings.
I thought "Being a Stockholder" was preferred over "Being an Employee" in ExxonMobil.
Yes, that's why selling off (laying off) the most valuable assets makes most money. Who cares about unconventional?
