Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Mondelez: before and now

When I look at what's happening in other companies and other industries when it comes to layoffs, working at Mondelez is not so horrible.

Yet, when I compare the work atmosphere from the time I first started working here (almost 11 years ago) and the atmosphere that is now in the company, I am very disappointed.

I wonder when it all went downhill?

I used to be proud to work here but I can’t say that anymore.

Really good one 😂😂😂😂😂. He’s the most manipulative, narcissistic, and dishonest person I’ve ever known. Karma is a b–ch......

GS is a man of great integrity. He loves this company and each and everyone of his workers. I feel bad for whoever feels the need to slander this great man. He takes care of all his direct reports. He is a man of faith and volunteers at the local homeless shelter every Saturday. With GS leading our area Mondelez will only get better once all the haters are gone!

Agree with GS comment. Seems there is a personal connection to alot of people. My DM for one. Not qualified and worst DM I've had in 27 years

There was most definitely a culture shift! I think a huge part of that was GS. Narcissistic and an egomaniac! Prides himself on handpicking a team, probably so he can manipulate numbers, which is commonplace. Makes promises he never keeps and every time he opens his mouth he spews more BS. Loves to hear himself talk. He fosters an elitist attitude, and has trained his managers to do the same!
I agree, used to be a very fun place to work! We at one time we’re a tight team, now everyone walks around looking over their shoulder. Can not wait to go...but not so fast....will wait till it’s not voluntary!

You people are starting to get it. For every person we irritate out the door is 1 severance package saved.

And there lies the difference between routes, reps, etc. There's no way I could spend anytime doing anything, but throwing freight as fast as I can 5 days a week. Every store is a load and order write or a merch hit and an order write. My full time order writer barely writes any orders, I basically do it all myself. This route would completely fall apart, and it would be obvious to everyone if I stopped throwing freight, and running the route. It seems like managers hate and despise sales reps, at least to me. Not sure what happened to this company, but the culture is at rock bottom. I've never felt so underappreciated and undervalued like I do now. Pretty sad!!!

If that is your motivation...kinda sad actually. Good luck with that!

It's not so bad! I literally spend a quarter of the week in the bathroom watching Netflix. It's a pretty sweet gig if you ask me!

Could not agree more! Seems like there was shift in how management decided to treat employees! I too used to be so proud to be an employee, now it’s embarrassing. The amount of deceit and lies that spew out of my managers mouth is disgusting!
It may vary from region to region, but our region, and more importantly our team, there is an insane disconnect! Like nobody cares, and maybe that’s just it! I’ve always taken pride and worked hard....now I just go through the motions as do my teammates! Having this end will be a huge blessing in the long run. I’m so looking forward to my run coming to an end and moving forward!
