Does anybody has any information on the situation in Slovakia? Any IBMer from Slovakia? They announced the layoffs last year. Are they happening now?

Funny that HR person said that they would hire people in the 2nd half of 2021. I think it is not going to happen.
From what I heard there were layoffs happened in January as well, 100+ people in SK.
The "Yosemite project" folks in Bratislava who were part of the AT&T and IBM deal from 2019 are affected. Around 120 people, all former AT&T employees transferred to and now working at IBM supporting the AT&T account are being laid off. IBM is closing the LLC company that was employing them by end of May. Work is transferred to India and Costa Rica.
I believe Yosemite was in GTS.
