It’s relevant because it’s how IBM is pivoting and has implications for employers. Every time a new partnership is announced, an alliance team in my BU magically springs up with a bunch of external hires who are the “alliances managers.” I couldn’t get any new headcount this quarter because all hiring was for alliances managers, which are hot air sales people. So I take that as a sign of what’s coming.
