Thread regarding Change Healthcare layoffs

Be prepared

The new OptumInsights CEO is notorious for cutting expenses and maximizing profits. In other words, expect layoffs as always. Automation always happens everywhere. The potential for automation with Change and Optum is very big. If you're scared, you probably have good reason to be. I'd always look for an out if you can. These are big money makers and money making will be their priority.

Good info form @fzui+1959do5g.

Layoffs already happening. small numbers so nope WARN act and many of the top performers already split.

Most folks scared sh—less and openly discuss it since the company will be acquired by Optum /Unitedhealth second half of the year and there are a lot of redundancy’s. If yer in shared services like me in HR not looking so good.

Good luck y’all.

As it goes right now. The Change Healthcare stock holders might vote not to be sold. In any case... the CEO of Change Healthcare will take over the combined companies of Optum-Insight and Change Healthcare if it does happen.

I’m calling this true. I used to buy into the positive brainwashing and think, oh these new leaders will see our value and anyone thinking negative needed an attitude adjustment, until it happened to me.

Nationwide hired a new CTO from GE in 2018 First order of business. Outsource, all of it. IT, Operations, customers service, all of it. Off to India it goes.

Pacific Life absorbed a CIO from a GE company in 2018. First order of business. Outsource, all of it. IT, Operations, processing, customer service. Off to India it goes.

First American Titled hired their new CIO from Toyota and as far as I know it was years of swinging the axe at Toyota one of my peers there had to endure 4 rounds of layoff survivor. Just to come to a new company and get outsourced a year later.

If the new C level was a layoff machine gun elsewhere......... you know the rest.
