As soon as my shares are deposited into my account, I exchange them for small and medium cap stocks since their performance far exceeds the lackluster performance of T. T is basically stagnate and will remain so until they decide to steer the ship away from the ill fated iceberg disaster! Debt needs to be drastically reduced and a vision needs to be introduced! I hope we don’t meet the Enron fate!

AT&T stock is essentially a bond substitute. The stock price will remain stuck between $27-$31. The large institutional holders are looking for the $2 dividend with a 7% yield. The $158 Billion debt shows no signs of shrinking in the next 3-5 years. Meanwhile upper management will continue to skim off $200 million to pay for salaries, bonuses, luxury retreats, jet travel, corporate sporting events and luxury villas!

Most employees hold some T stocks, which means that is no "we", because employees are investors.

Most employees hold zero shares.

Stank and his cronies are accountable for the company's financial result

Yes, the CEO is accountable, but someone needs to actually hold him/her to account. The latter part is broken at AT&T.

It is really convenient how Stank refers to the company performance as "our" and how "we" are accountable. Most employees hold some T stocks, which means that is no "we", because employees are investors.

Stank and his cronies are accountable for the company's financial results, anything else said are nothing but song and dance to distract from reality. "Well documented ... financial theory." what a load of tripe!

Literally in Stank's email to managers today:

"Ultimately we are accountable to sophisticated shareholders. The rules by which they evaluate our performance are found in the well documented and highly accessible foundations of financial theory"

AT&T doesn't only underperform when compared to competitors...it underperforms when compared to most anything. Good job Stank.
