Why do I get points if I'm not able to show up (with a very good reason, mind you) yet my hours can be changed every which way whenever they feel like it? I'm really getting sick and tired of it. If you set my schedule then leave it be! It's like they don't think we have lives and gasp plans we might have made based on our original schedule.

I have had a set schedule for 32 years and counting. Loving every minute of it.
you must be recently hired , anyone whos been there a while has heard "for the good of the company" as an excuse to rail us.
Companies rarely care about you as an individual, your personal life or your plans. You are HUMAN CAPITAL to be used as they see fit. The quicker you realize that, the better off you will be. Plan your life accordingly, save as much as possible, live as frugally as possible. It's only going to get worse, not better.
