Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

How much do they value us in other companies?

This is my first job and I have been here for 4 years. I am interested in experiences of someone who can tell me how a former USB employee is treated in other companies? How worthy is it to have the name of this company in your resume? Someone on this forum mentioned that other companies value our employees and are ready to pay more for former USB employees?

If you want to stay in the banking industry, good luck because the next 2 years it will become unrecognizable. BoA, Wells Fargo, all too much baggage. Fintech, Brokerage companies and Credit Unions will own people's money. Banks too heavy, too mammothy. Try insurance, wealth management companies. Most of these companies don't have the obscure and cumbersome compensation of US Bank. And yes, if you sell yourself powerfully, you will make more money.

You are recruited for the credentials, yes, but most importantly for the real things you bring to the table, your ability to solve problems, deconstruct processes and relate to your teammates. It is not that US Bank will stain your career, but if USB is the only place you have worked in the last 10 years, there might be a stigma. Do not wear the US Bank cap to any interviews. Talk during interviews about how you personally affected positive change in your environment, and hint that you are ready to take over a different environment. Have confidence in yourself and check the USBank-inflicted fear out. Good luck.

You can certainly make more money at other companies.

The answer is yes. U.S. Bank employees are valued elsewhere, but if things keep going like this US Bank will lose its reputation.
