Don’t come here to find the answers you’re looking for; look within yourself. What’s important to you? If you’ve been with the company 5 years, you’re vested. You’ll get some sort of pension. Take it lump sum and roll it into an IRA that will grow 4-7% a year and find you a job that makes you happy, that gives you QUALITY time with your family. Life is too short to be bound by the “golden handcuffs.” You can make a living elsewhere. Do what makes you happy and have no regrets.
