Thread regarding IBM layoffs

Can the Company find out who posted what here?

I understand if we do not follow the Content Rule then the Privacy Policy applies. But I am wondering if the organization can find out who posted what here. I am in the process of my exit via layoff, and was reading the Separation docs and basically it states that I cannot say anything that may reflect poorly on the company. I have already posted truths and previous statements on this site. I don’t want to be in breach of contract bc I need to sign this agreement and get my severance pay. So I am wondering (and maybe paranoid) they will find out that I have shared my thoughts in this forum. Thoughts?

Yes they do keep tabs on this website amongst others. No, they can't tell who posted it unless you get too specific that you give yourself away.

"...Don't post anything so confidential that it rises to the level of inside information.."

Don't post anything confidential, period.
I have yet to see anything confidential actually posted on here. Just a bunch of opinions, speculation, what people / groups got laid off, etc. There's nothing wrong with that.

If you post something criminal, and if this site keeps records, and if you have posted from somewhere traceable, or don't delete your cookies, then yes, in theory, someone could go to the trouble of finding out.

But I suspect that this website is more interested in keeping a free exchange of thoughts going, and would laugh at any company's request (non court order) for such information.

Unless you say something criminal (not just contract-violating) and don't do it on company equipment and/or from company network then you won't be found.

They just want to suppress anything embarrassing, especially if it is the truth. Blow that whistle.

Once I knew my 'number was Up' I figured they had not found an easy way to rid themselves of me (>150%sales attainment, no TEA violations, no RA opp as unique and somewhat rare position).. I deleted/scrubbed my IBM Maas360 accessible phone.. should they keep foraging for that 'easy way'. .. watch your electronic leave behinds (I have no fbook etc)

Don't post from company equipment or when connected to the company network (including VPN). Don't post anything so confidential that it rises to the level of inside information.
