Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Pebble Beach

While cutting benefits and wages AT&T has no problem spending tens of millions on a golf tournament. Not to mention flying it’s officers out on private jets and paying for exclusive parties and receptions!!

If you would have taken the marketing budget over the last ten years and invested in Apple the gain would be worth more that the current market value of AT&T!

FYI, there's no hanging with the Hollywood elite as Att is pretty much the most hated name in Hollywood these days. Real Hollywood thinks the Att crew are a joke! Att look like a bunch of starstruck fools, they are so far out of their league, it's really embarrassing.

Ahhhh, the yearly Pebble Beach trip, on the company jet huh! Well, I guess they figured they'd head on out to Pebble and watch some golf at a beautiful course, as they ruined the Byron Nelson in Dallas! I swear these folks LITERALLY ruin everything they touch. The Byron Nelson was a very popular tourney on tour until Att got involved. They players families loved coming to Dallas, staying at the Four-Seasons, but Att forced Trinity Forrest, aka the Goat Track and ran the tourney into the ground. Jordan Spited can't even win now that Att sponsored him!

Ackerman was asked about the cost of the often rain drenched Bell South Classic that the elite golfers were reluctant to attend. ( Masters the next week). He said it represented about 1 percent of the annual advertising budget and was a good investment. I believe that.

I have a better idea! Let’s have an Att sponsored NASCAR race car that has the first Artificial Intelligence driver that doesn’t exist! Now that would be awesome! No pit crew, just a couple guys to get it on the track!

You’re under the false impression that you matter as much as top executives. You are easily replaced at entry level wages. Besides PB is about corporate hob knobbing with the Hollywood pedos...

"Apparently it pays off for marketing"

Nonsense. I'd love to see the numbers.

This has been sponsered longer than most have been alive. AT&T named sponser of this goes back to the early 70's. Apparently it pays off for marketing.

This is classic Ratty and Stinky! They decide they are going to hang with their buddies and the marketing analysis magically comes out with a huge cost benefit analysis!

Common man! You haven't worked here in 15 years if you think it is otherwise. The Emperors wares no clothes!

They get to do the bragging on how well they ripped off the employees, customers and shareholders and scratch each others backs with the other BoD they are on. This is their insensuous club!! Plus they get fresh ideas on how to enrich themselves further and screw over more! Plus they need to tell everyone in the club how much smarter they are than us stupid deeds while they show off their newest corporate jet.

And hang out with the Hollywood elite and get their woke opinions!

It's a marketing expense. Don't kid yourself into thinking they haven't looked at the benefit/reward for that spend.

Companies have to keep up sponsorships etc. They bring in more than they spend on them from eyes on the brand. Don't be dense.
