Totally not. I have doubts that the DOJ would allow it since they would now be a vendor to every company that is their competitor. Hard to keep that separate.
Saw the article on Yahoo. Let Verizon buy them. I really doubt any telco would purchase a manufacturer like a few others have said - no one else will buy from them.
Of course Stinky might consider it just to have more people to fire.

Also, NOK could only sell into T, which would be a major contraction of the total addressible market. And it would become impossible for T to play NOK against Ericsson.
In short, the premise is absurd.
No....so not going to add an OEM to the debt load. Especially Nokia.

AT&T spun off Lucent's equipment business 20+ years ago. Why would you want to undo that, nevermind during it during these crazy economic conditions?
