Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Halliburton is exiting the building

A Long time in coming. Hopefully they take all the Lackeys along with them. All the money wasted in Transformation and trying to make us look like Halliburton. Does anyone out there like Halliburton?

WFT is a joke... they can’t cut enough expenses to break even. Layoffs monthly, now outsourcing logistics and going to close 4 more manufacturing sites.

Is klx bogger than wft now?.. could be i suppose. Im sort of not paying attention anymore ive lost interest in the daily hustle bustle of the oilfield service energy. It seems like wft was always last call

max wtf reach was 48$

so what l, who care about Stock price , did you benefit from it? who actually benefited? few top brass at top and bankers - besides slb and halliburton were well above 90bucks and then wtf split their crabby stock. right after 48$

anyway u are examble of the in denial lackeys who chase it and blind soldier ——-/ good luck number 4 (maybe number 8 now actually, klx is bigger)

I agree wit karl..wft only does well when oil prices are high enough to cover huge mistakes. At one time wft was almost number 1. Almost.

Spent years at both, Hal has much more control and discipline, so even if a decision was wrong they can pinpoint the effects and are quick with a recovery plan. Wft seems to fly by the seat of it's pants every day, it's a lemonade stand in comparison. Both will get rid of you in the blink of an eye. Hal invests a lot more in training people, so even if you don't really like the place (like me) I still got to take a lot away. I can finally appreciate that 90% of job satisfaction is cultural fit - so if you just don't like it, leave, because 'it' won't change, don't stay in an abusive relationship with your employer. Good luck.

Halliburton is not the most popular but it sure does know how to apply technology and science and how to maintain fiscal discipline. You know halliburton handles most of the radiological/ nuclear work for govt? Klx is circling the drain also

Tell Completions, ALS , Wireline or one of the other Business Units you k–led how great and wonderfull and smart you are. There was management problems before but the cure wasn't to run the customers off or k–l the indians. This regime couldn't turn a profit with $100 oil.

Halliburton knows how to win and get through tough times. Weatherford is a loser company. Has been for at least five years. Just lost another $175m in Q4.

Halliburtons success is based on strict financial discipline and proprietary technology..wft has neither
