Instead of putting your company match into your HSA you can put it towards the choice program which includes paying for college.

Thanks again for the replies. Confirmed that the 2 or 1k you get for being on the bronze or silver medical plans can now be put into your hsa or 529.

Fidelity 529? I missed the call. You mean like the 529 anybody can open with Fidelity?

I love when we add something anyone in the general public can do on their own to the employee "benefit" package.

Maybe we should add "access to all McDonalds locations" as a benefit?

The $ are not new, they’re just giving you an option of how to receive it. If you’re on bronze or silver medical plan you get 2k or 1k contribution from company if you contribute a certain amount to an HSA. Previously, it would be deposited on your HSA. Now you can direct those $ to a 529 plan or to pay off student loans.

Yes, the company fires you ... you go out and work a c-appy job to pay for night school ... there is big college savings for AT&T.
