Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Companies you should never work for

All of these apply more or less, but I think this one hits home the most:

  1. The Perpetual Promisor

Red flags: Unfulfilled corporate expectations, employees report a lack of trust in CEO, inability to live up to brand promises.

Add DaVita to that list. I was a temp there for 8 months. Those people are crazy!! I had this team lead that literally sat there watching me all day long, pulling me into conference rooms telling me my work s—ed, going through my company email and schedule on my laptop and always watching me come and go from the bathroom! It was pure insanity.

I had a Sr. Director while at T that in a Staff Meeting told us we are all rented employees.

Too many whiny, underperforming workers.

It's a job.
Nothing more.
You are a dispensable tool, and as soon as they figure out how to eliminate you, they will.
Your "team" members will sell you out in a heartbeat to save their jobs.
Upper management laughs at you.
If you are relying on work for social activities, confidence, enjoyment, friendships, fun or anything else you will be miserable.
Get paid.
Go home.
Stop complicating it.
