Thread regarding JPMorgan Chase & Co. layoffs

Those who work minimally are often more respected?

Oh that famous short term leave for mental health reasons that someone mentioned... With all due respect to everyone, I noticed that some have the talent to recognize exactly when there will be the most work to do and that just then “disappear” for a few days.
I don’t blame them at all but those who reward that kind of absenteeism. Many times I have been convinced that those who work less are more respected, although it is not clear to me the logic behind it. Instead of people who know how to elegantly avoid obligations, their work is eventually completed by the most dedicated workers. Literally - if they see that you work more, they will load you with even more work. I used to put up with it, but not anymore. Especially since I’ve seen that our dedicated work means nothing to Chase.

If you work hard, you will only get workload increase since everyone will reach out to you now, and not salary increase. There is a difference.

Be smart and do the opposite. If you are smooching MD this means you are a Vp. If a mo–n like you is a vp then no wonder this place s—sss!!!

Those that slack get 1.5 raise those that bust it get 2.0 raise. The goal is to get promoted but to do that must work hard and exceed very high expectations.

This is how the universe works. You willing to take more work, you get handed over more work.
But It sounds like you are in a toxic team, if people dump unfinished work on others. And if they're rewarded for that behavior, there's more disfunction.
