If customer "Lowed Bingo'd", your Manager had to discuss case with customer. Then the case would be discussed with you.
Engineers stack-ranked top to bottom on metrics such as bingo score average.
Bottom 5 percent of Engineering population in category for PIP (Performance Improvement Program) or next on list for restructuring.
It was effective. Doubtful it would be accepted in today's world in general.
It was tough and had it's issues but the top performers were also rewarded.
Probably the biggest issue was people watching the queue for their group and avoiding the tough cases and tough customers.
It kept people on their toes and added value to the TAC product.
No idea why they stopped it.
A tool that was once used for accountability, but that doesn't matter anymore.
