I wonder when Mackey stopped caring about his employees? I am thinking it was when the board made him step away for a while. Walter Robb did a terrible job as his stand it. I have been with WFM for almost 20 yrs and caring about us was one of his Core Values. When Robb came in is when I noticed things begin to change and we started becoming more "corporate". They are implementing so many ridiculous programs that are not possible to get done especially since they have cute labor. Labor could have been trimmed but my goodness they went crazy. Specialty and Whole body have all kinds of extra help while the rest of us struggle daily. All the great, hardworking employees are leaving one by one. Might be time to take a look at Costco, Target or even some other field because WFM is now stressful to work there.

He has always maintained he was too good to his team members and that was the downfall of the company. That coming from him really hurt. He probably had the most loyal, hard working employees of any company.

I think at this point the only people that "believe" what he says are the ones in leadership roles who are forced to pretend the nonsense that he spits out isn't all a lie. Its not like he cares he's sitting pretty on his millions and WFM and it's employees are just toys for him to help pass the time. Not going to waste time even looking into the interview already knkw the guy is full of sh_t.
