2X Recall in a week for Bronco

From CNet today. What a sad launch season as we continue to drive customers away.

Another day, another Ford recall. The Michigan, Dearborn-based automaker is recalling its hot-selling Bronco Sport small SUV for the second time in a week. Just a few days ago, the vehicle's rear suspension was the cause of a separate action and now the front end is to blame.

Ford is recalling certain 2021 Bronco Sport models because they may have been fitted with incorrect front lower control arms. These components are a critical part of the suspension system. Affected vehicles may exhibit stability issues when the roof is loaded to the max, which increases the risk of a rollover crash.

Beginning to think never ending recalls is a key strategy of the latest Fordism "Treat Customers like family". You'll be at the dealership so much trying to get your vehicle fixed, that the Service Department staff will become your second family.

Geez, who is running these launches/running these plants? These are big noticeable parts we are talking about for this and the other recall (not like a hidden internal component).

I'll say it again - are the engineers out there doing any monitoring? Plant engineers? Some major process issues going on if wrong parts (or no parts - as in bolts) is happening.

Stock made it up over $12 today - somebody must like Ford's performance for something.

It's just t he front suspension. And the rear suspension. What's really important is that the team is diverse and inclusive.
