The government is for sale. The swamp never got drained. If AT&T is doing it, so are a lot of others. Lets hope that they get a good return on their investment.

The cure is public financing of elections ─ but the politicians have convinced the voters that they should prefer corporate owned politicians. Eisenhower's farewell message about the "military industrial complex" is as prescient now as it was in 1961 because it dealt with the purchase of politicians in order for a corporation to reap rewards.
