Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

401k website

I was laid off but have recently started a new job and I am trying to rollover 401k from BNY into my new employers 401k. The website provided by BNY NEVER seems to work and I cannot logon to access old 401k. Has anyone else had this problem?

I find that the bnymellon401k.com works just fine. That is because VOYA runs it, not BNYM.

Can you be more specific than "never seems to work"?
I've never had any issues accessing it other than some weekends. I assume it's for their DR tests since it's usually for the whole weekend. T
he only other thing I see is that it's inconsistent when the nightly processing occurs and sometimes the date and dollar amount are inconstant between the main page and when you drill down to the balance summary page in the app.
And my retirement estimate only includes half of my pension. Not sure if it's missing the legacy portion or the more recent portion.

You're 401k is a low priority for BNY Mellon's incompetent Management. Aside from layoffs and outsourcing, they're more interested in finding ways to make your life miserable. They have nothing better to do with their time!

Yes, both BNYM and Voya need to have their act together for the published web sites to work. Unfortunately this is seldom the case. A better question is why they even have Voya with their checkered history which forced them to relaunch from their ING name.

Published official URL: www.bnymellon401k.com

First alternate site when BNYM forgets to start their web servers, as is often the case:
https://bnymellon.voya.com

A third alternative:
https://my.voya.com/voyasso/index.html?domain=bnymellon.voya.com

In a pinch, my.voya.com sometimes works but it depends upon cookies installed from one of the official Links... well behaved web browsers remove them so keep an Internet Explorer around.

It certainly isn’t a good story to tell for a Fintech.

Their site was down over the weekend for maintenance.

Congrats on the new job.
Are you logging into the Voya site ? That’s what you be doing. If you are it does take forever to get into.
If not the best thing to do is to get call BNY HR4U, there is a specific option just for 401k.
Congratulations and all the best.
