Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

How many good relationships have you built here?

I’ve been here for a long time and I’ve built some very good relationships with people who came to Mondelez at about the same time as me. However, of all these people, only one colleague remained here, all the others either left or retired. I have a hard time communicating with the younger generations, because most of them are completely different than what we used to be, but there are also wonderful young people I like to work with. Some people say that they don't care about relationships with coworkers, but I care a lot about that.

I mean, I would hardly call the phone conference calls or even the zoom type calls something positive on this subject.

I've been here less than 8 years, but I was here at the end of monthly in person meetings. Those were great. There is a reason I felt more of a bond to my old team than my current team that I moved to when I was promoted. In person interaction matters. Now I'm lucky to see a merchandiser or two when I'm running into stores to keep under hours.

And the once a year sales rally is nice, but it just reminds me of what we use to have. Seeing each other once or twice a year (when we had weekenders pre Covid) doesn't do much for team unity. After that it's back to being on an island.

Up until the pandemic, we had meetings. The newer reps are a lackluster bunch. The meetings were dull and boring with the newer reps. No input, no involvement, nothing to say or contribute. The passion is GONE!

Sorry If this offends people.

I've worked here for years. We were always a tight knot group, supporting each other.

Now it's just dog eat dog.

Lots of newer reps NOT doing their jobs, and lazy DM's allowing it to happen.

It's embarrassing to work here, I'm looking for a new job.
