Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Decades of Innovation, and of course Growth.. but do you really need McKinsey.

So being Nike is hard, growing against an always fickle consumer, International waves, competitors who copied Nike merchandising at every turn, competitors who were always justified by retailers needing to use OTB to not look like a NIKE store.

Somewhere along the line it got so tough, that someone reached out to a supposed solution called Consultants, McKinsey, Bain....other wise known as The Houses of Lies.

Over the last four years, important years for Nike and the Sprint to 50 Billion in Sales by 2020, the Consultant's business turned sour.

International business now has real analytics, data that exposes the Lies\and the Mirror "Kahn", Consultancy has lost it's luster.

When the Consultants realize that they are about to be exposed a having no clothes, they will scorch the earth like no other.

The only solution, PHK, if healthy, needs to come back one more time, two classes of stock for a reason.

The only thing worse than McKinsey are the burned out McKinsey alumni that go native at Nike. They never work out. They just leave a trail of broken departments behind them and slither away into obscurity.

I mean.. the writing was on the wall once JD was hired. You don't put that guy at the helm when your focus is innovation or the core values of the brand. You put that guy in charge when you want to restructure, cut jobs and make it to 50 billion. The Nike that we fell in love with is LONG gone.
