I worked for another big well known company that was going through what Nike is headed toward, and it's sad to realize this is really over. I saw exec after exec come and go as if the company was just a giant piñata they beat on for a couple of years before they departed with their golden parachutes. Zero ideas or innovations..just coasting on the company's name and brand until they found their next piñata. The scary thing is these people all knew each other. There was literally a cartel of sorts at the top of the company that hoarded all the money and only let other people from their club join in the feast. Everyone else got fewer and fewer crumbs until we left out of frustration. And that's the whole point - they don't want you to stay long because it's taking money out of their pockets to keep you there longer (perks & benefits, PTO, sabbatical, etc.).
You all need to realize Nike is now in the business of making wealthy people even more wealthier. That's it.
