Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Never be too honest, straight trees are cut first

Lesson learnt - if you consider yourself to be a honest and hard-working employee, this isn't the company for you. The narcissts, a—kissers, backstabbers, talkers and knowledge fakers will degrade you.

The worst part is that my useless team-lead, who was technically incompetent and lazy was nominated for mentorship award 😂 way to go !! Yay

Sad but true... I would like to see what the overall results were from the last layoff/PIP. Odds are the majority were white males. But whatev's, glad I'm free from the toxic environment.

For those still in the Cube, have a backup plan and good luck!

@OP - to be honest, when you wrote that "straight" would be cut first, I was thinking of a different interpretation. But I still think you're correct. Diversity will protect those special interest groups !

There are some low life OSU, LSU, TTU, UIUC, MSU, KSU, Pune, ICT, Bengaluru graduates in the corporation. We hope that someday they will stop poisoning the well, act with honesty and do real work

Sadly, XOMs way of rewarding the narcissistic useless clowns is by offering them promotion and make them leads and supervisors.

This is everywhere, but xom has a very high amount of these people bc an extreme competitive environment has been created on purpose. My experience is a highly competitive environment and more team focused, is the team focused is best for the business.

That's an interesting poke on the woods.
who hides behind the hedges.
'Can't see the woods for the trees' is the old expression.
guess you could crawl under some moss if you had to.
probably at that point now.
twisted.

Like that title - could well be expanded on.
Most of the successful in ExxonMobil are boxwoods, not even trees.
They don't have to be hedged to look like a box.
But they are.
And they are content.

As far as trees go, you can't see the Woods for em.
You're right on that.
