Stock Price and they have failed for 10 plus years. Wall Street says same crew at the helm and even if you clean up your self inflicted balance sheet gash wounds we think management and the board will go out and do it again.

One more requirement. Need approval from the wanna be CEO that thinks they know everything.
yes, stock price. but add 1 more requirement: they should be paid by how much their stock price outperforms those of their industry peers' stock price averages. don't reward exec's any for doing nothing and just benefitting from a crazy stock market. pay T exec's big bucks only if they outperform VZ and a few other direct peers stock price appreciation. a top level exec is supposed to strategically beat their peers, not just rise or fall in stock market at same rate as everyone else in the business does.
