Since the mid nineties when they started hiring people to top craft jobs or straight into management with absolutely no experience the job has become so easy. Don’t need to do anything, anyone with an old “Bell System” background and training looks like a genius. It’s so easy now compared to what we went through in the 70's and 80's why would anyone leave?

Not if someone gave you the answers to the test beforehand or you got grandfathered out of taking it. I have heard about instances of both of those happening.
Lay low, stay under the radar and don't like like a genius at all cost. A lot of insecurities these days.
Yo Old School, I did my 42yrs. I went out on my terms. My portfolio is fine and I have a life to look forward to. Walk away already. You don’t need to continue to work. Go play in your propane powered cabin. The money you chase isn’t worth it.
