Are the employees expected back in the office this month? Just curious if the work from home was ending. Maybe it depends on location.

175 Water and 80 Pine have been sold. They are moving people to the Ave of the Americas and Berkley Heights I believe. Starting in 2008 they were laying off anywhere from once a month to every 6 months. I watched the company go from 120,000 to around 40,000 or so. AIG200 is really the number of employees left. The rest will be out source or contractors.
I was let go in July of last year, and I've yet to receive any of my items. Same with everyone else that was on my team. Somehow I doubt I will ever get my things back. That there will be no one left to package and ship my belongings to me.
For those employees who are left, Sept 1st is target. Will probably change again depending on pandemic.
And if anyone asks whether AIG is going to RIF, the default assumption is always "yes". Been here 7 years and had at least 10 rifs. Any wonder morale is bad?
Wish they would do like other companies and offer buyouts to people, especially to older folks who are here simply waiting to be fired. But since this is logical and would be more respectful and effective than one day doing a pop up firing, will never happen.
It was pushed back until Sept 1st
Return to office has been postponed until Sep 1 at the earliest.
does aig even own 175 water anymore?
